TAIHS employs both a Women’s Business and Men’s Business Counsellor.
Counselling services operate Monday to Friday from 8am-4:30pm please speak with your doctor, nurse or any TAIHS team member that you feel comfortable to request to see a counsellor.
Counselling services may be accessed face-to-face or via telephone support.
Counselling services include:
- GP referrals to a psychologist or mental health clinician/counsellor
- Social and Emotional Wellbeing Coordinator available for walk-in Ad Hoc counselling
- Confidential assessment, counselling and intervention
- Referrals to internal and external support services within TAIHS
- Referrals to link-up for family /Stolen Generation tracing

This group also yarns together about how to improve self-esteem, understanding the cycle of violence, dealing with stress and family support.
The group promotes togetherness and education and healing support from women in our community.
